1984 Diplom- Ingenieur (water and soil engineering), 1993 Doctorate (result: summa cum laude) in Landscape Planning and Landscape Design, 1999 Habilitation (highest academic qualification in Germany) in Landscape Planning and Landscape Design, since 2012 Head of landscape Planning and Landscape Design at University of Rostock (Germany).
